# rladmin node remove

Removes the specified node from the cluster.

```sh
rladmin node <ID> remove [ wait_for_persistence { enabled | disabled } ]
```

### Parameters

| Parameter             | Type/Value                     | Description                                                 |
|-----------------------|--------------------------------|-------------------------------------------------------------|
| node                  | integer                        | The node to remove from the cluster                    |
| wait_for_persistence  | `enabled`<br />`disabled`      | Ensures persistence files are available for recovery. The cluster policy `persistent_node_removal` determines the default value. |

### Returns

Returns `OK` if the node was removed successfully. Otherwise, it returns an error.

Use [`rladmin status nodes`](https://redis.io/docs/latest/operate/rs/references/cli-utilities/rladmin/status#status-nodes) to verify that the node was removed.
