Mission: To empower a global open source community to unite, nurture, inspire, and promote Redis.
Vision: Provide Redis Community members with more opportunities to advocate. Create a consistent experience, while fostering a community that encourages collaboration and interactions with like-minded professionals. Educate, inspire, and serve all those who seek to enhance their Redis skills through collaboration.
The Redis Community is dedicated to providing a harassment-free community experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of members in any form.
All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience that includes people of many different backgrounds. Sexual and other exclusionary language and imagery is not appropriate.
We are a community of professionals, and we conduct ourselves professionally. Harassment and other exclusionary behavior is never acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:
Put simply, be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other members. Be cool.
Members violating these rules—in the online community or at offline events hosted by the Redis Community—may be asked to leave the community at the sole discretion of the Redis Community maintainers.
Thank you for helping make this a welcoming, friendly community for all.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsors, exhibitors, or similar activities are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images or activities. Staff, including volunteers, should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.
Be careful in the words that you choose. Remember that sexist, racist, and other exclusionary jokes can be offensive to those around you. Excessive swearing and offensive language are not appropriate for the Redis Community.
If a member engages in behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, the Redis Community maintainers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, suspension, or expulsion from the community.
