Growth Engineer – Web

Our Growth team is on a mission to acquire, convert and grow millions of developers globally on Redis Cloud. We are a cross functional team of technologists, engineers, marketers, and designers that deliver the insights, systems and tools, and user-facing marketing experiences that fuel Redis’ growth. We make it easy for devs to build fast apps fast with Redis.

 

As part of the Growth Engineering team, you will build and own the systems, products, internal tools, and customer-facing experiences that power our go-to-market and product-led growth. This includes building our growth experimentation engine and key growth-related customer experiences.

 

What you’ll do

 

Responsibilities

 

Partner closely with other developers, designers, marketers, and analysts to build highly scalable systems, help run experiments, and surface insights across all points of customer interactions.

 

Create beautiful web applications using technologies such as React, JavaScript, CSS, NextJS, and WordPress. When applicable, build the APIs that power these experiences, defining composable data models and durable interfaces.

 

Scope, design, and lead technical projects, laying the groundwork for the team to iteratively evolve and scale.

 

Interact with product and business leaders to help develop and execute on a data-first growth strategy that scales with Redis.



Who you are

 

Minimum Requirements

 

5+ years of professional hands-on software development experience.

 

  • You’ve developed and maintained tools and systems to support growth initiatives and experiments.
  • You have experience working with experimentation platforms and A/B testing tools like Mutiny, LaunchDarkly, Statsig, or Optimizely.
  • You are an expert at building web applications using HTML, CSS, and at least one JavaScript framework like React.js. 
  • You have experience developing custom components for a CMS like WordPress and/or a headless CMS like Sanity.io or contentful.
  • You have a deep understanding of usability issues in web applications.
  • You have excellent oral and written communication.
  • You have proven ability to thrive in a collaborative environment involving technical and non-technical stakeholders and subject matter experts.

The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $160,000 – $173,000 per year in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate’s work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Redis’ total compensation and competitive benefits package, which may include 401(k), unlimited time off, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. This role may include discretionary bonuses, stock options, commuter benefits based on location, or a commission plan. Salary history is not used in compensation package decisions. Redis utilizes market pay data to determine compensation, so posted compensation ranges are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
