At Redis, you’ll work with the fastest, simplest technology in the business—whether you’re building it, telling its story, or selling it to our 10,000+ worldwide customers. We’re creating a faster world with simpler experiences. You in?

We are looking for a Software Team Lead to join our Cloud Orchestration group in Sofia.

As a Software Team Lead, you will lead a team responsible for developing and managing a system that automates complex maintenance operations across our cloud platform. You will lead this team in delivering robust solutions to support large-scale cloud infrastructure operations, serving some of the world’s largest companies.

Our ideal candidate is a strong individual with vast experience in large-scale web applications, based on microservices architecture, who is involved across the entire product lifecycle, from planning to design and implementation, has strong leadership skills, and a can-do attitude.

What You Will Do:

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of backend-oriented, full-stack developers working on a large-scale, distributed cloud system.
  • Design and implement scalable, automated maintenance solutions with an emphasis on clean and highly efficient code.
  • Participate in coding, code reviews, and architectural decisions to stay connected with the team’s technical challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, Architects, and other R&D teams to ensure seamless integration and high reliability.
  • Drive the technology roadmap and timeline for automated cloud maintenance systems.

What You Will Need:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in developing backend applications, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring developers.
  • Expertise in backend languages like Python, Node.js or similar
  • Knowledge in Frontend technologies like React, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), API design, and best practices for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both within and outside the team.
  • Passion for high-quality code and keeping up with new technologies.

Extra to have:

  • Experience with datastores like Redis and MySQL.

We give back to our employees:

Our culture is what makes Redis a fun and rewarding place to work. To support you at work and beyond, we offer all our team members fantastic benefits and perks:

  • Competitive compensation package formed by salary and equity grants
  • 25 days of flexible vacation time
