Community Manager, Clients and ecosystems

Who we are
We’re Redis. We built the product that runs the fast apps our world runs on. (If you checked the weather, used your credit card, or looked at your flight status online today, you’re welcome.) At Redis, you’ll work with the fastest, simplest technology in the business—whether you’re building it, telling its story, or selling it to our 10,000+ worldwide customers. We’re creating a faster world with simpler experiences. You in?

Developers primarily interact with Redis databases through client libraries and integrations. These libraries are widely used across commercial and open source projects. We are looking for an experienced Community Manager that has a solid software development background. A key responsibility of this role is to support the clients and ecosystems group to build strong, lasting connections with their developer communities by actively driving engagement.

Why would you love this job?

Are you passionate about amplifying the voice of developers, ensuring their needs are heard, and fostering meaningful connections between them and the teams building the tools they love? Do you thrive on creating spaces where developers feel supported, empowered, and engaged? If so, this role is for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Answer community questions on Github, StackOverflow, Discord and other forums
  • Triage Github issues and pull requests of open-source projects
  • Collaborate closely with the clients and ecosystems engineers to help developers to utilize Redis client libraries and ecosystem integrations
  • Foster interactions between our engineering teams and the community, driving collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Track key performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure that SLA targets for response times are consistently met
  • Identify key events and submit proposals to ‘call for papers’ opportunities on behalf of engineers from the clients and ecosystems group
  • Organize local events and meetups within the developer ecosystems

What will you need to have?

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with developers worldwide
  • Solid understanding of software development paradigms
  • Ability to read and understand source code of several programming languages
  • Familiarity with open-source development workflows and platforms
  • At least 3 years of experience contributing to developer communities
  • Organizational skills for planning events and managing multiple platforms
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Extra great if you have

  • Experience with database systems, e.g., Redis
  • A good understanding of common development frameworks, e.g., Spring, React, or Flask
  • A history of public speaking, content creation, or technical education

We give back to our employees:

Our culture is what makes Redis a fun and rewarding place to work. To support you at work and beyond, we offer all our team members fantastic benefits and perks:
