We are seeking a Principal Security Product Manager to join our global product team and oversee our security and compliance posture across our entire product portfolio.
In this role, you will ensure our Cloud, Software, and Community products meet Enterprise customers’ and Redis users’ security expectations. 

A successful candidate will envision, develop, and manage the security aspects of the Redis product portfolio. They will have an excellent grasp of the Cloud and Software security market and will be well versed in the current threat landscape and the latest trends and innovations in the security industry. They will balance initiative and self-motivation with an ability to work with geographically and culturally diverse teams internal to Redis Inc., as well as ecosystem partners, go-to-market teams, and customers. 

You are curious and inquisitive about what makes a product tick, detail-oriented, and disciplined to record what you learn and build in product requirements, documentation, and verbal form to audiences of various skill levels. You enjoy listening to partners and customers and can successfully navigate business-oriented and engineering organizations to achieve your goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Define the security and compliance posture of the Redis’ product portfolio, medium and long term strategy
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of features, manage priorities, and ensure execution to specifications and on time in light of Redis strategy and goals
  • Work closely with the R&d team on prioritizing, planning, and executing of security and compliance initiatives
  • Partner with the Redis CISO team to align product security and compliance with corporate goals
  • Develop a deep understanding of the DBaaS (Database-as-a-Service) market and ecosystem security and compliance needs, interacting with customers, partners, and the customer-facing organization
  • Work with the product marketing and sales teams on go-to-market plans and document product capabilities, and train internal and external customers
  • Act as the primary security evangelist within our organization, with our partners, and to the greater community

What will you need to have? 

  • 7+ years experience in SaaS / B2B / Enterprise or equivalent experience in an Enterprise organization
  • 7+ years experience with security and compliance for Enterprises and Cloud, for example PCI, HIPAA, FedRamp, SOC 2, etc.
  • Experience with mission-critical products and operational requirements
  • You’re comfortable with code and have at least some basic experience writing code
  • Prior experience with databases and database or data management technologies
  • Comfortable with private and public cloud computing and SaaS technologies

Extra great if you have: 

  • Previous experience with distributed systems
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (extra points for Redis experience)
  • Previous experience working on products for developers and operators
  • Can navigate cloud-native technology— containers, Kubernetes, DevOps, microservices pattern
