At Redis, you’ll work with the fastest, simplest technology in the business—whether you’re building it, telling its story, or selling it to our 10,000+ worldwide customers. We’re creating a faster world with simpler experiences. You in?

Why would you love this job?

The Redis Cloud Operations team is hiring for a Software Engineer with a true passion for Cloud Operations and SRE. We’re looking for a skilled software developer who excels at identifying operational challenges and crafting scalable, reliable solutions. In this global role, you will proactively research, analyze, and solve complex problems through the development of automation tools that will enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our Redis Cloud operations. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong software engineering background who are passionate about cloud technologies, automation, and enabling seamless operational excellence.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify operational challenges: Collaborate with stakeholders and independently explore potential gaps, inefficiencies, and reliability issues in the Redis Cloud environment.
  • Design and implement solutions: Research, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable automation tools that enhance operational workflows and improve system stability.
  • Work autonomously: Take ownership of problems from identification to resolution, conducting the necessary research and delivering well-engineered solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools and frameworks that interact with the Redis Cloud control plane and major cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Implement robust automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring to ensure reliability and maintainability of developed tools.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to meet evolving business and operational needs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for operational challenges, designing solutions that address both immediate issues and future prevention.

What will you need to have?

  • At least 3 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on automation, cloud-based solutions, or infrastructure tools.
  • Proficiency in Python or Golang, with a track record of developing clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, identifying problems, researching potential solutions, and delivering results with minimal oversight.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and familiarity with their APIs and SDKs.
  • A problem-solving mindset, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and efficiency in solutions.
