Team Lead – Application Infrastructure Team

We are looking for a Software Team Lead to join our Cloud infrastructure group in Redis Sofia.

As a Software Team Lead, you will lead a team responsible for empowering the developers in the cloud to be more successful by supplying essential building blocks.  The team will own the various elements required to build services in the cloud.   The team will develop and maintain the various integrations to required services.   The team will streamline and simplify the work required to have a complete service that is easily managed and monitored.  

Our ideal candidate is a strong individual with vast experience in developing modern applications, based on microservices architecture, who is involved across the entire product lifecycle, from planning to design and implementation, has strong leadership skills, and a can-do attitude.

What You Will Do:

  • Build a brand new team – recruit, mentor, and lead a team of backend-oriented, developers working in the cloud.
  • As a highly technical team lead, you will drive the team’s roadmap, architecture and technical choices.
  • Design and implement code libraries in multiple programming languages that will create Redis’ cloud platform for our internal development.
  • Participate in coding, code reviews, and architectural decisions to stay connected with the team’s technical challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D teams to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration and quality.

What You Will Need:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in developing backend applications, with 1+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of managing and mentoring developers.
  • Expertise in backend languages like Python, Node.js, Java or similar
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both within and outside the team.
  • Passion for high-quality code and keeping up with new technologies.
  • Extensive experience working in cloud environments, with AWS and GCP being a major advantage.
