Real-Time Reporting with Redis In-Memory Data Hosted on Azure

Redis is a widely adopted open source high-performance in-memory data store that runs on Azure, popularly used as a database, cache, or message broker. As an object data store, Redis data structures are highly flexible. While this has tremendous advantages for applications developers, this flexibility has made reporting on Redis a challenge – until now. With the new Redis ODBC Drivers from CData users can now use powerful analytics applications like Microsoft PowerBI to report directly on live in-memory Redis data structures.

This webinar, co-authored by CData and Redis, starts with an introduction to Redis, Redis, and Redis Enterprise, an introduction to CData Software, and an overview of the CData Drivers for Redis and how they create a relational data model for the key-value data in a Redis instance. It continues with a demonstration of provisioning a Redis Enterprise instance in Microsoft Azure, configuring the CData ODBC Driver for Redis, and using the ODBC Driver and Power BI to create a real-time visualization of the Redis data.
