What happens if a Redis Software license expires?

After the license expires, existing databases keep functioning and continue serving reads and writes. The cluster blocks database-configuration actions, such as adding a database or editing database settings. Node failover, explicit shard migration between nodes, node upgrades, and cluster-settings changes (including installing a new license) continue to work. Read more from the documentation.
