Redis Events Privacy Policy

Redis Ltd. and/or their applicable affiliates (“Redis”, “us”, or “we”) are committed to protecting your privacy. 

This Events Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) informs you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of data relating to identified or identifiable natural persons (“Personal Data”) in the context of events and their subsequent sharing on various platforms (including websites and social media).

Redis serves as the data controller for the processing of Personal Data received under this Policy.

2. Purpose and Legal Basis

The purpose of collecting contact information from registration lists or badge scans is to keep track of our in-person interactions with our community and follow-up with any information requested by you during an interaction. The purpose of capturing and sharing event photos on social media is to document and promote Redis events, engage with our community, and enhance the overall experience. The legal basis for processing this data includes consent, the performance of a contract, and legitimate business interests, such as marketing and promotion of our events and services.

The Personal Data we collect may include: contact information, photographs, images or videos in which individuals are identifiable.

We collect the above at events through registration lists, badge scans, and our authorized photographers or event attendees who voluntarily share their photos with us. These photos may be taken during various activities, such as conferences, workshops, social gatherings, or other events organized or supported by Redis.
