Redis Cloud Gains Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Certification

Redis Cloud Flexible and Annual plans across all Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud regions achieve certification

Mountain View, November 1, 2023—Redis, Inc. announced today Redis Cloud achieved the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 certification, adding to the fully managed service’s security and privacy certification suite.

PCI DSS applies to all entities that may store, process, and/or transmit cardholder data, and extends to service providers to such business entities. The standard was developed to ensure cardholder data is appropriately protected via technical, operational, physical, and security safeguards. To achieve this certification, Redis completed this audit with a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).

Redis Cloud Flexible and Annual plans across all Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud regions offered by Redis have attained the certification. In achieving PCI DSS compliance, Redis Cloud has been demonstrated to meet the most stringent security standards as a Level 1 service provider, meaning customers may use the product to process over six million transactions annually.

“We’re thrilled to achieve PCI DSS certification for Redis Cloud on AWS and Google Cloud,” said Quincy Castro, Chief Information Security Officer at Redis. “This is another example of how our continued investments in security help us deliver innovative capabilities like vector similarity search into the hands of our most demanding enterprise customers.”

The company’s complete customer security and compliance documentation package, including PCI Responsibility Matrix and Attestation of Compliance, are available on the Redis Customer Trust Center at trust.redis.com.

Redis Cloud is a cost-effective, real-time data platform delivered as a fully-managed Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) that provides sub-millisecond performance with linear scalability for modern distributed applications. Available in private, hybrid, and multi-cloud deployments on AWS and Google Cloud, Redis Cloud simplifies and automates database provisioning through a serverless concept. Developers and data operations teams are thereby freed to build high-performance, scalable, intelligent applications while significantly reducing their administrative burden.
