We’re looking for a communications summer intern to join our corporate communications team for the summer. This is a hands-on opportunity for a public relations, communications, or journalism major to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, global tech company.
You’ll work closely with our communications and brand team across a variety of projects, including social media, media relations, content development, building and experimenting with AI tools, and collaborating with external agencies. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, organized, and excited to learn how a modern communications function operates.
This is a Summer Internship that runs from June to August
What you’ll do
Be a key part of our day-to-day social media management, including drafting posts, tracking performance, and helping improve and guide the voice of our brand’s corporate accounts
Assist with media relations efforts, including building media lists, researching journalists, and preparing materials
Contribute to internal and external content, such as blog posts, newsletters, and communications materials
Building and experimenting with AI tools to improve and innovate our communications workflows. Creating custom tools and workflows is a big part of the culture of our marketing team, and creativity and ownership is highly encouraged
Work with internal stakeholders on various projects
Help manage relationships and workflows with external PR agencies
Track and report on media coverage and campaign performance
Assist with general communications team operations and special projects as needed
What you’ll need to have
Currently pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in media, storytelling, and brand communications
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
Interest in building with AI is a plus
"The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $25 - $ 28 per hour in Texas. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate’s work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Redis’ total compensation and competitive benefits package, which may include 401(k), unlimited time off, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. This role may include discretionary bonuses, stock options, commuter benefits based on location, or a commission plan. Salary history is not used in compensation package decisions. Redis utilizes market pay data to determine compensation, so posted compensation ranges are subject to change as new market data becomes available."
