Jim Doran

A seasoned strategy and operations executive with more than two decades of leadership experience across enterprise software, collaboration technology, and SaaS security, he currently serves as Chief People Officer at Redis. In this role, he leads global people strategy, organizational development, and talent operations during a pivotal phase of company growth.Previously, he was EVP of Strategy & Operations at Five9, where he led enterprise-wide strategy, planning, and operational execution during a period of hypergrowth and market expansion. Prior to Five9, he held senior leadership roles at Cisco, including Vice President of Strategy & Business Operations for the Collaboration & Applications division, overseeing strategy and execution for a multi-billion-dollar business.

Earlier in his career at Symantec (Broadcom), he served in multiple executive roles spanning business operations, SaaS & SMB strategy, and corporate market intelligence — contributing to the buildout of a $1B SaaS security division. He began his career in strategy consulting with Alliance Consulting Group, a Boston Consulting Group spin-off.He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance & International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
