Riaz Lakhani

Riaz Lakhani is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Redis, responsible for securing the company’s cloud, products, and customers as Redis scales globally. He is a hands-on security leader known for building security programs that prioritize real risk reduction, not security theater.

A published author and frequent industry contributor, Riaz writes and speaks about modern security leadership, emerging threats, and how executives and boards should think about cyber risk. Beyond Redis, he advises early-stage cybersecurity startups and mentors security leaders, bringing an operator’s perspective to both product innovation and security strategy.

Riaz holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Texas A&M University. He lives in Texas with his wife and daughter.
