This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to the use of the Redis (“Redis” “us” or “we”) Redis Enterprise Cloud Services (“Redis Enterprise Cloud”, or the “Services”), offered under our Cloud Terms of Service available at https://redis.io/legal/cloud-tos or other agreement with us governing your use of our products and services (the “Agreement”).
1.1 Requirements. You agree to:
(a) Provide true, accurate, current and complete account information as prompted by the Cloud Services (“Account Information”); and
(b) Maintain and promptly update the Account Information to keep it accurate, current and complete; and
(c) Maintain the security and confidentiality of any usernames and passwords, and any other security or access information used by you to access the Cloud Services; and
(d) Ensure that Administrators do not share their passwords with any other person or permit any other person to log on as the Administrator; and
(e) Log out of any accounts you have created or been granted access to related to the Cloud Services at the end of each session.
1.2 Prohibited Activities. You will:
(a) Refrain from impersonating any person or entity or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity; and
(b) Not use any robot, spider, other automated device or any toolbar, web-bar, other web-client, device, software, routine or manual process, to access the Cloud Services, other than Redis clients recommended by Redis, or the Redis’ cloud API; and
(c) Not monitor or scrape information from the Services, or bypass any of Redis’ robot exclusion request (either on headers or anywhere else on the Services), if any; and
(d) Not use any meta tags or any other “hidden text” utilizing any trademarks or intellectual property owned or licensed by Redis; and
(e) Not use the Cloud Services or any the Redis Content to promote, conduct, or contribute to: (i) fraudulent, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, harassing, deceptive, inappropriate behavior(s); or (ii) any illegal activities, or any act prohibited by the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control; or (iii) in connection with contests, pyramid schemes, surveys, chain letters, junk e-mail, spamming or any duplicative or unsolicited messages (commercial or otherwise); and
(f) Promptly notify Redis in writing of any unauthorized use of the Cloud Services or Customer Data that comes to your attention; and
(g) Not use license keys (if provided by Redis during a Marketplace Transaction) for configuration of the Cloud Services in a deployment outside of the applicable Marketplace.
2.1 Free Services Not for Sensitive Data. You will not upload sensitive, personal data, health information, or other similar regulated information into the Free Services. The Free Services are not intended to be used for this purpose, because data within the Free Services may be deleted after the period of inactivity noted in the Cloud ToS. This prohibition may not apply in the event that you have a separate signed trial or proof of concept agreement with us.
3.1 Protective Steps. In the event of any such unauthorized use by a third party that obtains access to the Cloud Services directly or indirectly through your Account or any Administrator, you will take all steps within your control as reasonably necessary to terminate such unauthorized use and will provide Redis with such cooperation and assistance related to any such unauthorized use as Redis may reasonably request.
3.2 Resetting Usernames. Redis reserves the right to reset any usernames and passwords if there has been any unauthorized access to, or use of, the Cloud Services or Redis Content.
